RE: Using WDT5.1 with a portal?

If, by a "portal" you mean a VPN you should be fine.  If it's a proxy, you will 
need to ensure that the ports that WDT5.1 uses are open also.

I use a VPN from home and everything works fine, just as if I was sitting here 
in the office.

I had a question that I hope someone can answer for me. My company is
setting up a portal for us to use for connecting from home, etc. I don't
understand much about portals and I was wondering if I will still be able to
use WDT5.1 once we go to that? I guess from the portal we'll be able to sign
on to the 400, access our network drives, etc. Will WDTs have to be
installed on the server for us to use it or can we just have it on our PCs?
