Luc asks:

"The new WDT delivers Websphere Studio Site Developer .
As I understand it, this is just a part of the full Websphere Studio
Application Developer. So we still have to buy extra development
tools, aside of what will be available on iSeries ?
Why doesn't IBM make WSAD available for iSeries ?"

Phil answers:
WSSDa is indeed a subset of WSAD. Specifically, it does not have the
EJB tools. Based on some research, we established the vast majority of the
iSeries
community is not using EJBs. However, those that do require EJB tools can
purchase WSAD
and then install WebSphere Development Studio Client. The install will
recognize that WSAD
is already installed and will insert the iSeries tools on top of it, versus
installing WSSDa.

Phil,

The new WDT delivers Websphere Studio Site Developer .
As I understand it, this is just a part of the full Websphere Studio
Application Developer.

So we still have to buy extra development tools, aside of what will be
available on iSeries ?
Why doesn't IBM make WSAD available for iSeries ?

Luc
