And RPGALIVE does a good job with SEU and the green screen.

What makes things fun is when you have the following code:
/free
 if x=1;
 for z=1 to there;
/end-free
C/exec sql
C+ ...
C/end-exec
C                           1    do   10                 x
/free
 enddo
 endfor
 endif
/end-free

One reason why a bulk of my SQL has gone into subprocedures.

This should certainly be possible. There was a discussion on it a few
months ago. My preference was for intelligent indenting as you keyed,
though a "pretty up" option would be nice.

FWIW, Linoma Software have a green screen verion indenter in their RPG
Toolbox. Seemed to work well in the demo version I installed.

I realise this isn't exactly what was being asked for, but if you want
to add a new if/end you can select the block the "if" will wrap around
and do a "block shift right 3" to indent the whole lot an extra 3 spaces
in one go.

I'd like to see the re-format function too, ideally as a macro so we can
change the indent etc. for shop standards.
Cheers
Rob
