I did attach, not load, to the program, Xuan. It worked after rebooting.

Thanks!

Chris

Still encounter the flashing screen though!!

Chris,

The message is a host message, and theoretically, it should not have
anything to do with your front end OS.

I got the impression that you used Load program dialog to start up the
debugger session. Could you please try to use Attach Dialog to start up to
see if same problem occurs?

Step:
Bring up the Attach dialog from Distributed Debugger UI.
Specify the job you want to debug.
Sepcify the pgm you want to debug, and check Step Into check box.
   Press Attach button.
When a message comes up informing you to start your application in
AS/400, click OK on the message, and call your RPG program in the 5250
   session.
Debug source will be up, and you could try your scenarios.

Please let me know the result.

Thanks,

There wasn't much to it Xuan. I have an RPGLE program that I put in debug
(not batch), I set a breakpoint and it went to it, started stepping through
the code and got the error message. I've debugged this program a number of
times in the last 2 weeks with no problems (on my WinNT PC). I'm now
running
under Win2000.

Thanks for the help,

Chris

Chirs,

Could you tell me the exact scenario which gave you the error message?
Thanks.

Hi all,

I installed WDT 5.1 on my new PC and I'm trying to use the debugger. I
never
had a problem on my old machine, but now I'm getting an error message
"Error
occurred: Host: CPF1939 Time-out occurred waiting for a reply from the
serviced job". Do I have to up a wait time somewhere?

Chris
