The <Delete> key only deletes the character at the cursor position or a
"selected" string. It does not delete a marked block. Is there a reason why
the it should function this way?

I know the <Alt+D> key will delete a marked block of text but I just can't
break the habit of pressing the <Delete> key when I want to delete
something. As a workaround, I've created a macro that adds the ability to
delete a marked block of text using the <Delete> key and have added it to
the ReXX Macros FAQ as "Enhancement to <Delete> DELETE1".

Regards,

Brian
