Tom: might be yours is a different scenario. Could you please try to send
me a screen capture of the error and the error log next time when it
happens. I would appreciate if you could also explain to me what you doing
to create your problem. Thanks!

I did get a return code when it ate half of my program, but I don't believe
the server job had been ended on the iSeries, and Code didn't crash.

I'm willing to try your fix if you'd like.

I have been investigating this problem and I think I might have a fix for
it.

This is what I have done to simulate the problem.
I opened a host file on my CODE editor, and made a change to it. Then on my
AS/400, I ended the server job. When the job is completely gone on AS/400,
then I did a save. In my case, I even got an exception, and CODE editor
crashed.

I just wonder if Tom or Peter would help me to verify if my changes have
fixed their problem by trying out my personal copy of the CODE dll and exe?

I think the problem here is that when the line is down, 'save' should be
able to detect  it and and re-connect. If 'save' failed, then the copy
should be kept on the editor window.  I am investigating it now.

I definitely have problems with timeouts and our firewall.  I've gotten
into the habit of saving every time I leave my desk.  I also set the
autosave parameters to be very short. It sure would be nice if code did
some sort of keep-alive activity so that the firewall did not close the
connection.
