Go for it. I think WDT/400 V5R1 uninstalled the previous version on my
Win2K boxes. This should be a pretty common path, so I don't think you're
the first to wonder about/wander down it. But I'd download SP4 and have it
waiting in the wings.

Subject: V5R1

Hello all,

It's finally arrived. My brand spanking new copy of Websphere Development
Tools for iSeries Version 5.1 I'm just ready to plop the old CD in the
drive and go for it but my gut tells me DON'T GO THERE.
I'm currently running WDS/400 V4R5M1. I have VAJAVA installed. I am running
Windows NT 4.0 Sp6a. My OS/400 version is V4R5. I guess my question is
should I uninstall the V4R5 version before installing the new version? Are
there any gotchas I should be aware of. Should I immediately get the latest
sp and apply it before even trying to use my new toy?
Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mark
