Violaine,

Sorry to hear that the page will go a way. I thought it was a big help.

So, are you saying that SP3 replaces everything in this picture except the
debugger update? I am looking at updating 5 developers from V4R5. I am now
wondering if all I need to do is install V5R1 on their PCs and run the one
SP3 update along with the debugger update?

On a separate, but related avenue. Can I still try out the GUI CL prompting
after installing SP3?

Thanks,
          Scott Johnson

Hi Scott,

That web page is for V5R1M0 Service Pack #2.
Service Pack #3 supersedes SP2, so I recommend ignoring this web page
(which is bound to disappear at some point).

If you select the WebUpdate version of SP3, it will automatically detect
the components you have before installing (instead of selecting individual
components).
This design was meant to simplify service pack installation from the
previous 2 service packs for V5R1M0.

In theory, you would probably prefer the WebUpdate version. However, if
there are many developers in your shop, you might prefer downloading the
complete version to a LAN location, and then have everyone run that version
of the service pack.

Hope this helps.

Violaine,

How does this update fit into the 'picture' at:

     http://www-4.ibm.com/software/ad/wdt400/webupdate.html

This picture was a great idea! In a nut shell I see exactly how I need to
install the updates.
