Jim, this appears to be an on-going problem. I've had a number of
conversations with various Toronto people regarding the loss of both
options/settings and the recently-used member list.

The CODE/400 editor actually an IBM cross-platform product; I think it's
referred to as "LPEX". The LPEX developer, in response to my problem,
maintains settings are lost only when the editor terminates abnormally. I
can understand that; the problem is there's something else wrong too. I've
had members show up on my RUL weeks after I've used them and my quiet exit
option appears to be controlled by planetary alignment. It appears to me
the options are saved only when you terminate CODE/400 normally and shut
your PC down. I'm having major problems with CODE/400 running on WAN and
dial-up connections (it's pretty stable working on a LAN) and I experience
multiple abnormal terminations in the course of a day; the loss of
settings/RUL is a real pain.

My client environment is almost exactly the same as yours.

Please let me know if you figure anything out!

Subject: Code Editor does not retain state between boots

Greetings!

My problem:

When starting up the Code Editor the first time in the day, I have to set
quiet exit on the command shell, and resize the window to where I want it
(it starts out a very small window.) There after, until I reboot, Code
Editor will remember the size and placement of the window, and will also
remember to use "quiet exit" on the command shell. After I reboot, I have
to reset the size and options. Is there something I can do to fix this
problem? I did not have this problem on the previous version.

My configuration;

Win 2000 Pro with Service pack 2 installed, V5R1M0 version of WebSphere
Development tools with the second fix pack installed, AS/400 (not iSeries
yet!) 720 with V4R5M0 installed. Cumulative PTF Package 01100
applied. IBM A21p Thinkpad w/ 256Meg ram. IBM Extras are enabled, with no
modifications. Highlight extra is turned on.

Thanks!
