  • Subject: Visual Age RPG Error

I have a problem with a Visual Age RPG applications that I am running. I am
running version V3R2M3 of the VisualAge RPG Software on a windows 98 system.
I have about 30 users running a VA RPG application that runs from our
network. The problem that I am having is printing to a network printer.
Two of the users are able to print to printer A, but not to printer B. One
user is unable to print to printer A or B. All of the other 27 users are
able to print to where ever they want with no problems. The error that I am
getting is as follows:

1217 Error Message: *PR001 appeared during the OPEN.

Error while performing an explicit OPEN operation on file MANPRT. (this is
my Printer file defined internal to the VA RPG application.)

Has anyone had this type of error before, if so what is needed to correct
it? I have already tried to check for the FVDCERRS.LOG on their system, but
none is generated. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in
Advance!
