but they've got it well hidden now!  Maybe now the price is so low they
don't want to sell any <grin>

The link you want is lurking under "IBM Business Partners" on the "Support"
page.  The full direct reference is

For some reason, someone seems to have decided that if you take the "How to
Buy" link, the only option you could possibly want is purchasing through
IBM .  Of course this would be OK if you had a serial number!

I'm blind copying this to the responsible gent in IBM in case he is unaware
of this problem.

There was a posting on this list a few months ago about where an individual
could purchase a license for CODE/400 without having an AS/400 serial
number.  I've since lost the post and even with the new pricing model IBM
still requires an AS/400 serial number.  Does anyone have this source?
