I have a question concerning a Visual Age project that I am working on. I
am using release V3R2M2 and was wondering if there is a way to call an
AS/400 program from the Client side using a different user name. As it
currently stands all jobs are defaulting to QUSER. The program has to run
interactively, so submitting the job won't do. Is there a way to change
where this will run or which user submits the remote command. My second
problem is with the TCPIP communications. Each time an AS/400 program is
called from my Client Side a new TCPIP port opens up and does the remote
command and then lets the session stay open in a Time-wait status. It
continues to stay open even after the client program and AS/400 program have
ended normally. Is there any way to close these open sessions?
