It has problems when the path length exceeds 256 and there are some things that
can appear in an Autoexec that confuse it.

The relevant parts on my system appear to be:

SET HELP=D:\ADTSWIN\SYSTEM
SET BOOKSHELF=D:\ADTSWIN\SYSTEM
SET PATH=D:\ADTSWIN;%PATH%
SET LOCPATH=D:\ADTSWIN\SYSTEM
SET IPF_PATH32=D:\ADTSWIN\SYSTEM
SET LXEVFREF=LPXCREF.INF
SET LXEVFHDI=LPEXHDI.INF

One day perhaps IBM will stop using the autoexec style stuff - we can but hope.
