Accessing QTEMP files

Hi,
I am developing an application in VARPG that is accessing a database file
(QAFDMBRL) from the AS/400 . I am building the file in QTEMP by calling a
CL program from the VARPG program. When I try opening the file,I get the
following message.

1217 Error message CPF4101 appeared during OPEN.
Cause . . . . . :   The program received the message CPF4101 while
performing an explicit OPEN operation on file MMSMBRLFL.
Recovery  . . . :   Check the error log file FVDCERRS.LOG for more
information on message CPF4101.

Does VARPG have asccess to a QTEMP or should I be using an API to load the
data in a user space or use data queues?
