Jim,

Thanks for your response.

I submitted it to COBOL because the PARMS being passed to the CL are
editted in a cobol program, and I thought it might have something to do
with that fact. However, someone else has responded with the correct
answer, as you suggested, the log CL command parameter was not set to
*yes. Once I changed it to *yes, the command appeared in the DSPJOBLOG.

Thank you and have a great day!

Adrienne,

First - this is not the right list to ask this question. This is the
COBOL list, and you will get a better response from the Midrange L list.

Question;

Is this submitted as a batch job?

If so, what are the message logging parameters set at?

You need to have the Level, Severity and Text set at the correct levels
to have the job log anything at all. Also, you might want the "Log CL
program commands" parameter set to *YES.

Hello all!

I am trying to get the DSPLOG command to display when I do a DSPJOBLOG

command from within a CL. When I type the DSPLOG command on the
command line, it does register in DSPJOBLOG. Any help to get the
DSPLOG command to show up in DSPJOB log would be appreciated!!

Thanks so much,
