Hi, Erik:

You *cannot* create a working prototype for CPYBRAP _because it is *not supported* as a built-in (in ILE)_.
See:
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/iseries/v5r4/topic/rzatk/CPYBRAP.htm

versus, for example:

http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/iseries/v5r4/topic/rzatk/CPYBYTES.htm

Do you see the box that says "Bound program access" on the above page?

If the instruction does not have that, you cannot use it as a "built-in" in ILE.

(You could still use it in an OPM MI *PGM.)

Has anyone managed to prototype the CPYBRAP MI instruction? I have
tried a number of different approaches, even using the similar CPYBLAP
file from QSYSINC but so far no success.
(For the record, I have to populate a zoned decimal field that's 13, 0
so I can't use QXXITOZ as it only takes ints, ie not long long int and
I was thinking that CPYBRAP would be neater than a snprintf).

Best wishes,
