The first 10 means to print 10 characters and will pad to 10 characters wide.
The second 10 means to limit to no more than 10 characters. If password is longer than 10 characters it will be truncated.

Subject: [C400-L] sprintf's char *format parameter

char password[NAME_SIZE];
char sy_password[NAME_SIZE]

sprintf(sy_password, "%-10.10s", password);

I'm not very familiar with C. Can somebody tell me what does %-10.10s
format means? Looking up some info on the web, it seems like the - sign
means left justify. s means convert to string pointer. I'm not
understanding 10.10.
