If the alternate method is the preferred default, then execute some

SQL statement to modify the FRT records so that;



In the example bl is "blank", we will assume 01 is the alternate

method in question.



1. update bl to 02

2. update 01 to bl

3. update 02 to 01



Now you have effectively modified your system to make your current

alternate method the now default method.



Hmmm... good suggestion, and here's a shorter version:



UPDATE FRT SET RMETH =

CASE RMETH

WHEN '01' THEN ' '

ELSE '01'

END



I think the name of the method field is RMETH, but if not just change the
field name and this should set blanks to 01 and 01 to blanks, without any
multiple passes.



I'm not normally a fan of CASE in SQL, but this is a perfect application of
the technique.
