Here is a dump from a program I wrote in BPCS405CD to locate all the programs that mess with a file or other object that I designate at run time ... we do not use XREF which came with BPCS because of security concerns. Now this approach does not get at soft coded references in which at run time, it tells the software what to mess with. This is looking at hard coded connections only.
Note that the list includes programs that not all of us are using, because we not using all of the available BPCS modules, or the programs may be in a module we using, but we not using THAT program. Our naming standards will be different from what you are accustomed to. The same program shows up several times because it accesses the same files many different ways. Some of these programs are our modifications that you would not have. I hope you find this to be useful to you.
For readability you need to convert this to Courier or some other format uses evenly proportioned characters, and make it small so it lines up nice ... there's some wrap-around going on here ... make it "very small" to clear that up ... I do that when I send it but it might not come out of BPCS_L that way. This is cut & paste from left side of screen of query dump to report not printed, where X_TRACE gets its data from *OUTFILE from GO CMDREF. Assuming you know BPCS naming conventions, many of these are obvious reports and inquiry that PROBABLY not serious candidates for messing with this. Some are other application modules where you might not have thought to look.

Does anyone know how the Last Cost Field in HVHL02 gets populated? I made a price change on a quote to see if it updates the HVH file with the old cost in the Last Cost field but that didn't do it. Any help is appreciated.
