RE: MRP to Purchase requisition

Do you wish to create a requisition in the same manner that PUR640 (purchase
order consolidation and release) creates purchase orders? Is this for a
production item or a for maintenance\engineering item used internally?

If this is an MRP item what purpose does a requisition serve once you have
firmed a planned order? For production items many organizations do not use
requisitions.
