You can have multiple status codes on ECH when all of the lines on ECL have
not been completed. For instance, if you ship and bill line 1 but have only
Pick Released line 2, the ECH Status will be 10001, the line status on line
1 will be 00001 ande the line status on line 2 will be 10000. Trust me, we
all fight with this kind of thing.

To All,

Thanks for the info.

The CHSTSx & CLSTSx are the codes that I was referring to in the second part
of the question (I may not have phrased it correctly but that is what I
meant) & looking at the quote in the book. Here I have several orders that
have multiple status codes & I think that is causing all sorts of havoc. I
just need to look through my load & order files to see just where in the 5
possible status codes each line is at & get them corrected.

I will disregard HSTAT & LSTAT as they are not used in my version for
anything important?

Thanks - Dennis.

In version 6, don't pay any attention to HSTAT. It's an old status code that
isn't always updated. Some programs do and some don't. It is absolutely
unreliable.

The codes that you need to look at are CHSTS1 through CHSTS5 on the Header
table and CLSTS1 through CLSTS5 on the Line table. These status indicators
(0 or 1) follow the order line through Pick Release, Pick Confirm, Ship
Release, Ship Confirm and Billing and ultimately to Purge.

Subject: ECH Order Status Codes definition

V5R2M0 - Ver.6.0.02, plf , full client server, March '98 cum

Below is a sql count of records by status code in the ECH file for active
records.

What I am looking for is the definition of the HSTAT codes?

I know C=Confirmed, E=Entered, & F=Picked but the manual does not explain
the others so I am looking for some help.

<SNIP>
 HSTAT COUNT ( * )
   B 1
   C 8
   E 31
   F 113
   G 114
   6 5
   7 251
8 435
<SNIP>

The codes I see in my ECH are A, B, C, E, F, G, 4, 6, 7, 8.

As I was looking through the manuals for the above codes, I also found this
& I wonder how it is possible that an order line can have more than one
status? Was I sleeping during that day of instruction? The reason I am
asking is because I have about 40 orders that have this situation & we are
having problems picking & running "Load Control || Loads Dispatched" against
some of these orders.

<SNIP from the COM Manual on page 112>
Status:
BPCS displays the order status for this order. This value represents the
next step(s) in the order processing cycle that any line on the order is
ready to complete.
A single order line may have several statuses associated with it at any
point in time.
Values of 0 or 1 display in each of the five positions of the status. The
positions represent the following statuses and header fields:

Thanks - Dennis.
