Order Entry Item Override?

Hello,

During the order entry process (ORD700), is it possible
to override or bypass the creation of the shop order for
the item(s) being entered?

Currently our customer items are setup to produce a shop order
automatically,
in the configuration of the item in the item master, but we don't
always need a shop order to be created.

We are running BPCS 6.01.01 Mixed Mode, AS/400.
