RE: Pulling BOM data from BPCS into MS Word Document

and this could be just the answer.

Mitch,

You gave me another idea.
Let's suppose the Word Documents were on a company intranet accessible using
URL links like those we use on the internet.  Those URLs could be placed in
the notes of the BOM & Routings of BPCS.  When the shop packet is on the 400
spool file, you could access that data via PC to extract the URLs &
depending
on printer flexibility, intersperse pages of the shop packet with what you
got from the URLs.  You would probably have to move entire shop packet spool
report to PC to split it up & return that way to printer.  Depending on
printer, you could even insert engineering drawings to help inspect final
product.

I hope I do not get in trouble with Dean for straying from topics.
