this is still the case in v6.1.00 at least - haven't tested in v6.1.01.  the field exists in CIC but is NOT used when the cyce count selections are done.  IIM cycle count frequency is all that's ever used.  I'm sure the programs could be modified, but this sort of begs the question.  Not sure if there have been official requests made of SSA.

Currently BPCS only allows a worksheet selection (INV310) based on global frequency used by cycle counting defined in the Item Master (INV100), client is requesting that BPCS allows cycle counting frequency to be based on Facility defined in Facility Planning Data (MRP140). The field level help text on MRP140D2-02 for Cycle Count Frequency clearly states that workshhets for INV310 are planned for the future. This field & the ABC code were added by the Development Partner Prgm. The clients or the BEC were expected to provide the modification at client cost, until SSA enabled this in BPCS.

To my knowledge this is not possible.  The cycle count frequency field
exists in the facility file but it doesn't do anything.  The field only
works in the Corporate Item Master.  This is true for 6.04 Unix.  May be
different on AS400 - if so, we'd like to know because we would prefer to do
this by facility.
