Version 6.1.01 has an application called Inbound Logistics Management (ILM) that
allows you to separate your freight and other shipment costs from your product
costs to help you get a better picture of your true Landed Cost for each item.
ILM will It also allocate freight and shipment costs associated with a delivery
(multiple PO Lines) across those lines (items). It also helps by automatically
creating the service PO to the freight carrier.

If you have any further questions, please contact me off line and I'll be happy
to talk about it with you in more detail.

Thanks

Subject: Purchasing

We are running 6.1.01 mixed mode, AS/400 V4R4.

In the past we have included our freight in the cost of a raw material. We
would like to look at separating the 2 costs. My question is: I know that
you can enter the cost of the raw material in the quote file, but how would
you accommodate the freight?
