See my earlier posting RE: ZPD file considerations. That should be off the
list.

The CEA work file "TDRs" are discussed in a document which is shipped with
BPCS and is inside the DOC directory on the Client if you choose to install
documentation when you install the BPCS Client software (MM or CS). It is
called the OEA Maintenance Guide. The directions apply to green screen for
calling the OEAMNU program. For GUI access to the required menu options
there is a BMR which is actively being worked on for 6.1.00 and is finished
for 6.0.04 to put up the GUI panels - in the meantime, CLRPFM works just
fine via CL program (run when no one is using BPCS). The BMR is 38176.

I think the Order Entry stuff is not as well documented, unfortunately. The
EWR is described as "Pick Confirmation Work File". Interactive and batch
processing of BPCS jobs/files should always be finished before clearing any
work files. The GWF should not be cleared if you use delayed posting in CEA.

Thanks

>i read with fascination the posting from Peggy Heritz about clearing
several bpcs work files when the system is not being used. we have a nightly
job that clears several of these files (CLRPFM ECHW,ECLW,ZEF etc). we
learned about these the hard way when we were having conflicts within the
order entry system.

it make sense to also clear these files each evening when the system is down
and nobody is on it?

does anybody have any cautions, concerns, or comments, for what it's worth
we are using version 6.04 in mixed mode. all applications are green screen
with the exception of order entry (uses the configurator) and CEA.
