Subject: Can't reach HMC console remotely
Well, this came back to bite me in the butt last night. Apparently a raccoon
got into a trasnformer here in the warehouse and I received a call at 1:20
AM that the AS400 was not up and running. I knew I wouldn't be able to
connect to the HMC from home, so I threw on some clothes and came into work.
Unfortunately I live 40 minutes away. Got home at 3:30 and got another call
at 7:30 that the system was down. I had a system value for QUPSDLYTIM set
incorrectly, so our UPS did not keep the AS400 running.
Its times like this when being able to connect from home really helps!
So, I thought maybe I should download the PC software for the web based
system manager remote client again and see if that helps any.
