Has anyone else noticed that when running a query against iSeries DB tables
using MS Access and the iSereis Access V5R2 ODBC driver, that the QQRYTIMLMT
system value is overridden with a value of 60 seconds?

Our system value is:

System value . . . . . : QQRYTIMLMT
Description . . . . . : Query processing time limit

Query time limit
  allowed . . . . . . : *NOMAX *NOMAX, 0-2147352578

Yet, somewhere along the line when we try to access a table using MS Access
from our PC to the iSeries, the CHGQRYA command is executed overriding this
value to 60 seconds ......

CPF427F Escape 50 07/10/03 11:08:37 QQQQUERY QSYS *STMT QSQOPEN QSYS *STMT
        From module . . . . . . . . : QQQQUERY
        From procedure . . . . . . : QQQQUERY
        Statement . . . . . . . . . : 9731
        To module . . . . . . . . . : QSQOPEN
        To procedure . . . . . . . : FULL_OPEN
        Statement . . . . . . . . . : 20683
        Message . . . . : Estimated query processing time 2228 exceeds
limit 60.

This all started up when we recently upgraded to the latest DB Group and
iSeries Access service pack.

The new ODBC driver has an "Advanced" performance tab that lets you check a
box "Allow query timeout" We had hoped that un-checking this box might solve
this problem, but it didn't. I believe this might be a bug with the new V5R2
iSeries Access ODBC driver.

I'm thinking about opening a call with IBM SupportLine, but I wanted to see
if this is happening on any one else's system first...
