Beating this to death I know; I'm sorry. But when I can't figure something
out it DRIVES ME NUTS :-)

We do not run Client Access (well except I loaded it on a PC sitting next to
me here; more on that latter...) but rather Synapse IP Client. We are at
V4R5 on a 620 (but got the green light for a new 810 yesterday !!!).

If I do a Map Network Drive in Windows I do not see our AS/400. If I specify
the IP address in the Folder Field (\\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx\) and hit Browse I
see:

"Our AS/400 Serial Number"
    "Our AS/400
         qca400
         qibm

But I see nothing else (i.e. the guts of the system)...

I had also been menioned that I OpsNav to define share but I see NO WAY to
do that on any of the options. All I see in OpsNav is "Basic Options" and I
am logged in as QSECOFR...

I know I am asking a lot and turning into a nuisance, but thanks for all the
advice !

Chuck

<You can pick any unused letter up to the value in the LASTDRIVE environment

variable.

A variant is to use

net use * path

This will find the next usable drive letter, starting from Z. But this is
not convenient in a batch file - I forget how to extract a value out of a
text file in a DOS batch process. Even geezers forget sometimes!
