If you get a chance take a look at WRKRMTWTR --->

It's free and makes it easy to see all the remote outs you have defined on
the system.

Yep, I did end (delete) the writer and restart it by changing the outq,
after I emailed the request (Doh!), but that did not do the trick.

Here's the display of the OUTQD:

Remote system . . . . . . . . . . . . : PRTLZ6G1

 Remote printer queue . . . . . . . . . : PRTLZ6G1

 Queue for writer messages . . . . . . : QSYSOPR
   Library . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : *LIBL
 Connection type . . . . . . . . . . . : *IP
 Destination type . . . . . . . . . . . : *OTHER
 Host print transform . . . . . . . . . : *YES
 Manufacturer type and model . . . . . : *HP5

--------------
And the host table:
Internet Address . . . . . . . . . . . : 204.155.65.222
Host names:
  Name . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : PRTLZ6G1

  Name . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : PRTLZ6G1.SOADC.COM

And yep, I can ping it from my 400, uh iSeries.

And my operator is on vacation another 2 weeks.....

Hi Dale!
Try ending/restarting the print writer. If that doesn't do it, check
to
see if the device has a hard-coded IP address. If a remote OUTQ, check
the
OUTQD for a hardcoded address.
