Subject: [WEB400] PHP regex to match email addresses

Folks:

I need to find a regular expression that matches email addresses.

I've got one that mostly works ... but not entirely.

'/[\w\.-]+@[\w-\.]+\.[\w\.]{2,5}/'

The problem is, it doesn't understand when there is a plus sign in the
email address (like david+list@xxxxxxxxxxxx).

If I change the regex to be '/[\w\.-\+]+@[\w-\.]+\.[\w\.]{2,5}/', it
doesn't match anything.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

david
