Awesome. I'll look into sourcing the LPPs - I did have a look, and I see that the release is NOT installed on our system.

Once I get them installed with the PTFs I'll take another run at installing the system. Hopefully I'll be able to get though the process. If not, I'll hit up the support center for some help.

Thanks for your help!

Brian,

First and foremost, are you aware that you have support and can get a tech from Zend to help you?
http://www.zend.com/en/support-center/

OK, with that said, from the log it looks like you are missing a pre-requisite LP. 5733-SC1

1) Check the pre-requisites as outlined in the Installation guide http://www.zend.com/topics/Zend-Server-IBMi-Installation-Guide.pdf
2) Check that 5733SC1 has both *BASE and option 1 installed AT V5R4. This is our biggest issue on V5R4. Do the following:

GO LICPGM
Take option 10
Page down to 5733SC1
Press F11 to see the installed release. IT MUST MATCH THE OS! If you are at V5R4 on the OS and the LP's for 5733SC1 are at V5R3 (Because the upgrade program for V5R4 does not automatically update this LP) you will not have happy results.

These are no charge LP's available via ESS from IBM.

If you still need help please open a ticket with Zend support. IBM paid for it so you might as well enjoy it! Looks like you have Silver till January 2012

Subject: [WEB400] Zend Server Install Issues

Hi All,

I took a second crack at installing the Zend server which resulted in another aborted attempt. I followed the directions as per the install instructions that came with the SAVF, but I have had no luck in getting the thing to install.

Here's what I see in the job logs when I try to perform an interactive install:
5 > rstlicpgm licpgm(2ZSVRPI) DEV(*SAVF) SAVF(QGPL/ZSVRSAVF)
Object ZENDSBS in library ZENDSVR not found.
Data area ZSVR created in library QTEMP.
Object ANSWER in QTEMP type *DTAARA not found.
Library ZMYSQL not found.
Object not found. Object is /usr/local/MySql/bin/mysqld.
Product information not found.
Product:5733SC1 Release:V5R4M0 option:0001 information can not be
retrieved
ZSYSINFO: 1 V5R4M0 65535 0 1 1 1 0 0 0 0

Data area ANSWER created in library QTEMP.
retcode 1
Exit program processing failed.
Product 2ZSVRPI option *BASE release *FIRST not processed.
*PGM objects for product 2ZSVRPI option *BASE release *FIRST not restored.
Objects for product 2ZSVRPI option *BASE release *FIRST not restored.

So the first failure is the lack of mySQL (which is fine, as I have no intention of using mySQL, but rather my db2 install).

Anyone have any idea why this keeps failing and what I can do to get it installed?

Thanks.
