The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

Maybe Zend will do it, but I think the ball is mostly in IBM's court. It
seems IBM would be the one to port future versions of MySQL to AIX and
optionally provide binaries for download or packaging with Zend Server
since there is apparently no incentive for Oracle to do so. I think Jon's
previous comments said it all:

There seems to be a lot of interest in and momentum behind PHP on IBM i,
so I hope IBM decides to make the investment.

Hi Buck,
I discovered that what you are saying, that MySQL is included with the
ZendSvr CE install, is true (very nice!). I figure they probably had that
in the install process and I completely ignored/missed it - my fault.
They are dropping support for older IBM i releases. In any event, what I
have on my i 5.4 is MySQL 5.0.45.
