You're welcome.

As far as what to use, the minified version has the same content as the full file. For instance, jquery-1.3.2.min.js is the same as jquery-1.3.2.js, its just minified. The minified versions are for production environments, so you transmit a smaller file, for faster page loads. Either will work though. By conflicts do you mean filename conflicts or function name conflicts? I can see where there can be a problem with function conflicts.

There are also add-ons that you can downloads, that have extra functionality, and would result in an extra script tag in your header.

jQuery is a good tool to pickup... You shouldn't give up on it. And when you run into problems, there's plenty of help, and Google is always your friend with that.

Thanks for the the note Jeff. I did attempt to use it in my current web
project but ended up having naming conflicts with ExtJS so I had to pull it
out.

Every couple months or so I get enthused about pursuing jQuery but always
seem to get lost on what I should be using on their site. It seems like it
is much more effort to put together the variety of community components on
top of the core framework to come up with something that would facilitate
what I am looking for (i.e. easy to configure UI widgets, user events, and
JSON parsing/composing). It would be cool if they had "flavors" of sorts
that you could look to for certain kinds of development. For example, most
of my development deals with DB driven screens and not so much with flashy
features.

@Aaron - FYI: If you use the minified jQuery object, jquery-1.3.2.min.js,

at 55.9kb, not 500kb. It is actually fairly small.
