Btw, his name is Henrik :-)

Yeah I realized my mistake as soon as I saw my message come through... :P

What is the license cost of PowerEXT? Or did you open source your
developed
application to get around licensing?

I am only using PowerEXT Core which is MIT licensed. I've been avoiding
PowerEXT due to the GPLv3 license. I just wanted some of the procedures he
has in PowerEXT Core. Thanks for bringing this up to highlight the
difference. I am recommending PowerEXT Core ONLY. There are conditions in
the GPLv3, which PowerEXT is released under, that are not business
friendly. The MIT license; however, does not have the same restrictions.

I have actually been working on my own library that is very specific to our
company and PowerEXT Core made it a little easier.

Hans hasn't chimed in yet so I'll do it for him. :)

There's also http://powerext.com/ that is based on CGIDEV2 but he has
added
a several useful procedures. I am currently using PowerEXT core for a
project and have been pretty impressed.
