We use STRSRVJOB and STRDBG to debug web applications, which are running in a special subsystem, separate from HTTP server jobs. But we're pretty careful about using ENDDBG and ENDSRVJOB, when we're done.

Franz may be on to something. When I forget to release a SEP (service entry
point) it will exhibit the behavior you see - especially if you are
debugging a primary point of entry. Does anybody on your team use WDSC?

were you in a debug when it froze?

No, but that's an interesting question. I was just alluding to the idea
that it's helpful to have a high "timeout" value when debugging code, so
that the browser waits. But you may not want a high timeout value, in a
production environment.
