The most prominent and relevant part of the BSD license is:
Copyright <year> <copyright holder>. All rights reserved.
The problem with the BSD license from a consumer's point of view is that there is no statement of duration of the license. If I understand correctly, it can be terminated at any time by the copyright holder under subsection 203 of Title 17 USC:
