Wow, that was quick Aaron. I'm trying to work out from the time, are you 7 hours behind? Here it's 14:40 nearly.

I think you read too fast. Firsty, I'm meeting no business needs, this is a personal site. Secondly, I know XSL whereas in php I'm not far beyond helloworld.php

First you need to determine what XSL gives you and if it is
meeting a business need. IMO, XSL just adds an additional
layer of complexity and failure to an application where you
most likely own both ends of the spectrum. On the flip side,
XSL can work great for times when you need to convert a
vendors XML PurchaseOrder document to your version of an XML
PurchaseOrder.

Stick with PHP as your language to implement logic and
interface with the DB.

Hi everyone,

I had a brief go at learning php a while ago and managed to make my
first personal web application with mysql. I didn't get
very far, but
was reasonably satisfied with the result. Since then, my
company has
had me trained in XSL. For the simple reason that now I can
program in
XSL rather than PHP, I was thinking of developing my site
in XSL and
XML. Is it possible to mix XSL or XML with php? If the adress of my
page is http://:mySite.php, where will be the references to
my XSL or
XML files? Will I have to generate XML from php code with a
reference
to my XSL file? Will the server generate the XML then
process the XSL?
Is there a simpler way for me? I was hoping to keep the
php/mysql that I've developped so far.

Thanks.
