jQuery hooks) is only raised on the true page load, not on an ajax load.
The fix is simple. In your success function where you set the content
you just need to also reset your event hooks. IOW, you'll call the same
function jQuery loads and reestablish the hooks. It's also possible to
use jQuery's live query model to tell jQuery to watch for DOM changes
and reestablish the hooks, but I'd rather the first approach.

As for the back issue, you need to look at changing the url in the
browser as you navigate the site. Often this is done w/anchors (the hash
sign) so the page doesn't change. I think jQuery may have some support
for this but I wouldn't swear to it. Google for ajax and browser-back
and you'll find lots of references.
