Matt,

Yes, I had (in May) the latest Cume package and groups loaded. I believe
that there is a newer Cume available now, and Groups I am now about a month
behind on. None of the fixes I have put on since January has helped.

I am on V5R4.

Did you verify you have the latest group and CUME PTF's? Also, what OS
release are you on?

Subject: [WEB400] Hot backup take over issue.

Greetings!

I am new to the web setup and use on the i. We have been getting a lot of
messages that start with;

HTP8081
HTTP Server instance (INSTANCE NAME), a thread failed.

There will be about 50 of them in quick succession (about an hour or less)
then we will get the message

HTP8080
HTTP Server instance (INSTANCE NAME), hot backup takeover.

If I am on the web site being driven by this instance, the performance is
very poor when we get the hot backup takeover message.

I have contacted IBM support, and we did some tracing. IBM made some
recommended changes, which we put into place, but our problem continues.

Do any of you have a great understanding of how things are configured, and
how to trap this type of error? We don't seem to be getting much of
anywhere with IBM support.

Thanks!
