From: Pete Helgren
Is this using the original AEE model or the more recent ones
you developed?

They didn't wait around for me to perfect a new set of models. They're using ones that Mike S. developed, which are kind-of a derivative of my original. Mike also made quite a few changes to AEE.

In the mean time, I've been working independently of Mike and Will, and have deployed about 80 new applications under OnePoint portal, which are unrelated to, and don't overlap with the new applications that they've been deploying.

I really couldn't predict whether we might bring it all under one roof, at some point.

Not so good for IBM who wants to sell new hardware/upgrades.

They'll get over it. Last I heard IBM recorded record sales and profits, mostly from software, applications, and global services, and is sitting on about $6 billion in cash.

More seriously, I know that even RPG based Web applications require more CPU and memory than 5250. The State of WV had some extra capacity. The incremental replacement of 5250 just hasn't been disruptive.

Mike and Will were on site this past week training a new RPG programmer on Relational-Web. And they have a backlog of work. So it looks like WV will eventually upgrade their server. IBM will get their cut.
