Pretty sure you can manually delete those directories that did not get
removed by the uninstall script.

I ran the WAS 6.0 uninstall script from the IFS bin directory as instructed
in the IBM manual and it failed 1/2 way through (error below). I tried to
run the uninstall again but it got deleted by the script. The program
product is no longer listed on GO LICPGM but there is still a bunch of stuff
in the IFS. Is it safe to just manually delete the rest of the IFS? Is
there any system library that might have been left behind? The only QWAS*
library I have is QWAS61 and QWAS61A. Attachment shows what's left in the
IFS.

Mike,

WAS 3.5 can't run on a release new enough to run WAS 6.x so there is no harm
in removing it. I think V4R5 was the last release it worked on. Also, WAS
3.5 will leave some stuff under /QIBM/ProdData and /QIBM/UserData that you
may want to remove.

If you don't have WAS 6.0 running and everything is working, you can safely
assume it can be removed.

Matt

We have these WAS program products installed

5733AS3 V3R5M0 WebSphere Application Server, Standard Editio
5733W60 V6R0M0 WebSphere Application Server for OS/400 V6
5733W60 V6R0M0 WebSphere Application Server V6 Express
5733W61 V6R1M0 WebSphere Application Server V6.1 for i5/OS
5733W61 V6R1M0 WebSphere Application Server V6.1 Express

All of our java apps are running under WAS 6.1. Is it safe to remove the WAS
6 version and the even older WAS 3.5? Would there be any IBM products that
might be still using these?

Thanks
