issues, because you know that the Model will also seep into there
and the size of updates to download before you can run the app will
become much more than what shops desire.

That's a good point. I mentioned previously that Ext js UI widgets bind to locally stored data collections. And in one case I tested a Grid that allowed users to change the content of cells, kind of like a spreadsheet. Rows were changed in the local data store, initially. But you had to click the Submit button to synchronize the local data store with the server. That can add complexity and vulnerability to the synchronization process.
