Nathan,
I like that. Would you by any chance be able to send the CSS
source to

Subject: [WEB400] Using HTML for Statements and Reports

There was a discussion earlier this week on Midrange-L that veered off
to the topic of merging System i data with HTML templates for the
production of form letters, statements, and reports, stored in the IFS,
which reminded me of a proof-of-concept I did last year.

If you view the source for the document it becomes more clear how blocks
of content flow from top to bottom, similar to the generation of a spool
file, after reading a set of database files. But with the help of a
Cascading Style Sheet, and the use of absolute positioning, the data can
be formatted to fit on 8 and 1/2 inch paper.

Just in case someone might be interested,

Nathan Andelin.
