There is no auto start setting but there are a few ways to do this.
First, you can add a start up command to your startup CL program.
Second, you can change the subsystem description to start it up when the
sub system starts. For WebSphere, there are instructions on how to do
this in it's documentation.

Subject: [WEB400] Auto start Application Server

I am using the Web Administration for iSeries to start our Application
Server every Monday morning. The Application Server does not auto start
after our weekly IPL. This server is for our Webfacing/HATS
applications.

The HTTP Server is started but the associated application server does
not.

Is this sever auto start able and if so how?
