I just realized that this is for V5R4 only (Zend's version). I'm at
V5R3. I guess I'll have to wait a year or so to check this out (until
we go to V5R4) now. I don't have time to jump through a lot of hoops
trying to get another version to work. Maybe if I was 95% sure this was
going to do what I want, but since at this stage it's mostly just
kicking the tires, I think I'll wait for Zend to come out with a V5R3
version or for our shop to go to V5R4.

Subject: Re: [WEB400] ZEND PHP for i5

I'm a big fan of PHP. We're still running V5R3 so I'm using an aix
binary of PHP from i5php.net. There are some hoops I sometimes have to
jump through since I'm not using the IBM/Zend release but it's been
worth it. We have a small IT department with many demands placed on us
so I'm looking to leverage the Free Apache/MySQL/PHP projects available.

I'm presently working on replacing our dated web site with one driven by

a Free content management system.

If so, what do you think of it? Do you find it useful at all for
business apps or is it just fun to play with right now and not really
ready for prime time?

Just curious. I'm getting ready to download it to try it.
