Peter- When the check box is checked, the web browser will send
"fieldname1=TRUE" to the web server. When the checkbox is not checked,
the web browser will not send anything to the web server. Its as if
the checkbox field did not exist in the HTML form.

To test out this very frustrating browser behavior, change the FORM
method to "GET" and then examine the query string part of the url when
submiting the form.
