Your network "experts" need not be an expert of the AS/400
to get this to work.  It totally amazes me when I hear
things like that...

Tell them it's a Unix machine, or a Linux machine, or just
call it "a web server" and then tell them the IP address of
the machine.  Then they have only a small simple job to
do..

1.  Get an external IP address (I am assuming your AS/400
has an internal IP address, which is why it isnt visable on
the Internet)

2.  Have them set up a mapping rule in their
router/firewall to map requests to the external IP address
to the internal IP address of the web server.

There's really not much more to it unless your network is
set up "out of the ordinary".

Now, make sure they only allow requests through the correct
port (ie port 80 if that's what you're using).  Otherwise
you'll open up your AS/400 to anyone with Telnet, FTP, etc
to log on.
