Did you take a look at the Web Serving documentation in the Info Center? This
is a pretty broad topic and how it works (beyond basic concepts) varies
somewhat between the Original and Apache based HTTP servers. Expect the
documentation to be scattered about in the manuals.

Besides basic OS/400 protection, you also have file system access control
defined in the configuration and document protection based on a multitude of
things (physical or local path, IP addresses, basic authentication, access
control lists, etc...). Also, on the topic of basic authentication, you can use
OS/400 profiles, validation list entries, or LDAP/Active Directory entries.

Subject: [WEB400] Security questions

Can anyone direct me to any documentation in regards to http security on
the AS/400? I'm running some cgi programs on our AS/400 and I need to be
able to explain as much as I can about security as possible. I know how
the OS/400 security works in regards to objects, but I understand little
in the way of http security.
