That's funny, I would say the exact opposite. WYSIWYGish HTML editors
are ok when you first start working with HTML but once you get
experienced and start doing more complex pages you can't live without a
basic text editor. Of course I mostly don't like the WYSIWYG editors
because most of the ones I've used generated incredibly bad HTML.

I'll resist comments about using SEU for anything <grin> but will point
out
that the biggest drawback to using source physical files (apart from
its
inherent limitations) is that you can't use Dreamweaver, or FrontPage
or
..... to work on them.  While I don't recommend these tools when you
first
start with HTML, there is no way you want to live without them once you
get
past the basics.  Unless of course you're the kind of developer who
misses
EDLIN!
